Our Introductory Bike Packing / Touring event riding from Crabbes Creek to Tyalgum, camping overnight and returning the next day was a great success with 24 riders.

The photo above shows the starters lined up at Crabbes Creek. It was a beautiful morning and the ride along the Northern Rivers Rial Trail to Murwillumbah was fantastic!
There were plenty of options for coffee in Murwillumbah. We took our time and arranged to meet at Knox Park for the next leg of the journey to Tyalgum. As we got up from our tables, the heavens opened up. Well tourers are a tough bunch, so we donned our wet weather jackets and headed off into the rain.
By the time we reached Tyalgum, the sky had cleared and we were able to erect our tents.
We all met for dinner at the Tyalgum Hotel and shared stories for past rides and adventures. Heather Nonhebel mentioned a recent tour in Chile and Argentina. Her photos have only just been posted and you can find them

The next day was sunny and proved to be a wonderful ride back to Crabbes Creek.
